MoP Mini EP.8 - Mists of Pandaria Release Date Announced!

What's up guy and girl players of WoW. Tarou here and just bringing you a quick video on about Mists of Pandaria's release.

So if you've been on battle.net since yesterday you've probably noticed there is now a Digital Pre-sale going on for Mists of Pandaria. The release date is set for September 25th which is a month later than I predicted. I guess they figure Brewfest is long enough for players to level and do the holiday content. I disagree for the casual players' sake but, I am really excited to finally have a release date.

What's also cool is this year you will have three choices for buying the game. The first is a simple digital download that is just upgrading your current account to MoP and has no extras which costs $39.99.

The second is the Digital Deluxe Edition that is a request from many players who want some of the extras that come with collector's edition but don't want to buy the physical stuff from a local game store or online. The Digital Deluxe Edition comes with an Imperial Quilen mount and a Lucky Quilen Cub pet. You'll also get a Diablo III Banner Sigil and Accent. Finally this edition comes with some Starcraft II portaits.

Let's be honest, the Starcraft II and D3 stuff is cool and all but, the vast majority will buy the Digital Deluxe Edition for the mount and pet. This edition costs $59.99 which is $20 more than the plain digital copy. If we took current Blizzard Store pet and mount prices you're essentially getting a $15 discount off a pet and mount which might be very worth it to collectors.

Upgrading to either digital version is as simple as logging into your battle.net account, clicking the upgrade arrow or advertisement, selecting your choice of standard or deluxe, and finally dishing out the cash for it.

One other cool thing about this year's release is even if you're not sure about the deluxe edition, you can get the standard edition and pay $20 later on.

The final version of the game is an Old School Collector's Edition which has everything of the deluxe edition and also physical copies of Mists of Pandaria expansion, MoP art, a MoP mouse pad, some behind the scenes dvd and Blu-Ray discs where you can enjoy over an hour of directors' commentary, insider interviews, dev roundtables, and more on how this expac came together, and finally, the soundtrack for MoP. This edition of Mists of Pandaria will set you back $79.99 which is understandable when you think about it. $20 for a soundtrack, behind the scenes footage, a mouse pad, art books, and physical copies of the game.
