Below is a detailed video and walk-through on how to level Mining 1-450 the easiest and quickest. This guide is as complete as I can make it but you may have to purchase extra materials due to sometimes not getting a point from a yellowed/greened item. In total, expect to initially spend 1,200-1,400g leveling Mining 1-450 if you choose to buy the mats.(Note: Most players should be able to recover around 1,200g or more by selling the bars you smelt on the Auction House). Most players should also make an additional 1,300g or more from selling the ore you farm to skill up.   Note: This is just an estimate and you may need more materials depending on your luck. Don't worry too much though because, you should be able to make all your money back.

  Tip: If you have trouble getting any of the materials you can either spam trade or mine them.

• Before getting started, go to curse.com and download Gatherer or something similar. This addon will save points on your map and mini-map of the nodes you mine.

You'll also want to purchase some cheap grey gloves and enchant them with Advanced Mining which will give you plus five to Mining.

WoW Mining 1-450 Leveling Guide | Mining 1-65 - Apprentice Mining

• Start by learning Apprentice Mining and all available skills from any Mining trainer. You can ask a guard in any major city to find where one is located.
• Easy Mode: Smelt Copper Ore until you reach skill level 65.

  Farm Mode: If you didn't purchase any ore, simply hit up a starter zone like Durotar or Dun Morogh. Mine about 35 ore and smelt them. Do this again until you reach skill level 65.



• Easy Mode/Farm Mode: Go to the trainer and learn Journeyman Mining along with any available skills.

• Easy Mode: Smelt Tin Ore until you reach skill level 75.

  Farm Mode: Head to Thousand Needles and mine until you reach skill level 75.



• Easy Mode: Smelt Copper Bars and Tin Bars into Bronze Bars until you reach skill level 90.

  Farm Mode: Continue mining in Thousand Needles until you reach skill level 90. You can periodically smelt ore to get skill ups.

• Easy Mode/Farm Mode: Go to the trainer and learn to smelt Silver.
• Easy Mode: Smelt Silver Ore until you reach skill level 125.

  Farm Mode: Continue mining in Thousand Needles until you reach skill level 125. You can periodically smelt ore to get skill ups.

• Easy Mode/Farm Mode: Go to the trainer and learn to Expert Mining along with any available skills.

WoW Mining 1-450 Leveling Guide | Mining 125-225 - Expert Mining

• Easy Mode: Smelt Iron Ore until you reach skill level 155.

  Farm Mode: Continue mining in Thousand Needles you reach skill level 155. You can periodically smelt ore to get skill ups.

• Easy Mode/Farm Mode: Go to the trainer and learn to smelt Gold.
• Easy Mode: Smelt Gold Ore until you reach skill level 175.

  Farm Mode: Continue mining in Thousand Needles until you reach skill level 175. You can periodically smelt ore to get skill ups.

• Easy Mode/Farm Mode: Go to the trainer and learn to smelt Mithril.
• Easy Mode: Smelt Mithril Ore until you reach skill level 225.

  Farm Mode: Hop down a zone to Tanaris and begin mining until you reach 225. You can periodically smelt ore to get skill ups.



• Easy Mode/Farm Mode: Go to the trainer and learn Artisan mining along with any other available skills.

• Easy Mode: Smelt Mithril Ore until you reach skill level 230. If you get stuck, head to Tanaris and mine to 230. Then return to the trainer.

  Farm Mode: Continue mining in Tanaris until you reach 230. You can periodically smelt ore to get skill ups.

• Easy Mode/Farm Mode: Go to the trainer and learn to smelt Thorium.
• Easy Mode: Smelt Thorium Ore until you reach skill level 275.

  Farm Mode: Head to Wintersping or Un'Goro and farm ore until you reach skill level 275. You can periodically smelt ore to get skill ups.



• Once you hit 275, do a quick dance to celebrate, head to a Master Mining Trainer and learn Master Mining along with any available skills. I've listed the location of a few below.

WoW Mining 1-450 Leveling Guide | Mining 275-350 - Master Mining

• Easy Mode: Smelt Fel Iron Ore until it greys out at skill level 325.

  Farm Mode: Go to Hellfire Peninsula and mine to 315. You can periodically smelt ore to get skill ups.



• Easy Mode: Take a break and eat some cookies.

  Farm Mode: Continue mining in Hellfire Peninsula until you reach skill level 325. You can periodically smelt ore to get some skill ups.

• Easy Mode/Farm Mode: Go to a trainer in Honor Hold or Thrallmar and learn to smelt Adamantite.
• Easy Mode: Smelt Adamantite Ore until you reach skill level 340.

  Farm Mode: Head over to Nagrand and mine until you reach skill level 340. You can periodically smelt ore to get skill ups.



• Easy Mode: Go to Nagrand and mine until you reach skill level 350.

  Farm Mode: Continue mining in Nagrand until you reach skill level 350.

  Head to a Grand Master Mining Trainer and learn Grand Master Mining along with any available skills. I've listed the location of a few below.

Jonathan Lewis - Vengeance Keep, Howling Fjord

Alliance
Fendrig Redbeard - Valiance Keep, Borean Tundra

WoW Mining 1-450 Leveling Guide | Mining 350-450 - Grand Master Mining

• Easy Mode: Smelt Cobalt Ore until it greys out at skill level 375 or as close as you can get it.

  Farm Mode: Go to Borean Tundra in Northrend and mine until you reach skill level 375. You can periodically smelt ore to get skill ups.



• Easy Mode/Farm Mode: Head to Borean Tundra in Northrend and mine until you reach skill level 400. At this point, you will no longer be able to get skill points from smelting.
• Easy Mode/Farm Mode: The last stretch! Hop up a zone to Sholazar Basin and mine until you reach skill level 450.

  Sholazar Basin is an extremely popular place for mining. Even with a high pop server and tons of people in the zone, it's still possible to farm a decent amount of Saronite and Titanium Ore.



• Easy Mode/Farm Mode: Finally, go to Dalaran and learn all the remaining available skills.
