In this video, I'll show you how to make good gold with Mining in Twilight Highlands by farming up Elementium and Pyrite Ore as well as show you what you can expect to farm up gold/ore wise per hour. WoW Mining Gold Making Guide EP4: Twilight Highlands - Best Routes | Getting Started/Farming

To get started, you'll need to have 525 Mining and be atleast level 80+ along with Azeroth flying. Although, being 82-83+ is ideal since mobs can literally one-shot you as an 80. You'll also want to download the addons Gatherer or Gathermate2, Routes, and have a Mining bag or a mostly empty inventory. Also, make sure you have one regular bag to collect all your gems or items from killing mobs and that there mostly empty. Lastly, be repaired, have some food/water, blare some music, and have fun!

• To get to Twilight Highlands just take the port in your faction's major city or fly to a nearby zone like Arathi Highlands and fly over. Once in Twilight Highlands, start on the route I put on my map or unhide the route I've given you with my custom Routes addon while hiding the other routes. • Ok so, I'll be on this route for 30 minutes which should give you a good idea as to what you can get with Mining in Twilight Highlands. The routes I've come up with for here are pretty good for Mining even with some competition and I'll be using the medium length route. I have a short and long one as when that can help with different situations. I typically like the short one for low comp and long one for high. There were about seven other people farming ore which told me that 4pm wasn't an ideal time at for Twilight Highlands.

  This first route is the longest and I typically use this when competition is high and I'm farming for a long period of time.

  

• This second one is the shortest and very nice when you have no competition or minimal competition and are farming for less than an hour.

  

• This last one is right in the middle of those two. It's not too long but long enough to help with competition. I like to use this one when I'm farming for over an hour.

  

• I typically use my small route to start and extend it if I'm not finding ore like I should be. I used the long route for this video because the zone is normally packed with Miners. The short and mid one seem to work best anytime between midnight and two in the afternoon. Anytime after that the long one seems to be best for my server. Try them all out on your server at certain times to see what will work best.
• Most Mining nodes are away from mobs and so aggro shouldn't be a problem for any 85. Any others you can CC the mob, loot the node, and then kill it or simply de-aggro it and fly away. It's important to loot the node first though so you don't have to worry about any other Miners stealing your nodes. Because trust me, they will steal them.
• Pyrite Ore is very plentiful here in Twilight Highlands and you should find a lot of it while farming. Although, luck was not on my side this run and I found hardly any. Which is very unusual. I could blame it on all competition I had but, I prefer to blame it on luck. Rich Elementium made up for the lack of Pyrite Ore slighty but.. overall this run could've been better.
• Since this zone is pretty competitive, it helps to farm early morning or very late at night Sunday through Thursday on most servers. You can also try farming duing raid time if say you didn't get in the raid that night or are a PvP'er and don't raid at all anyway. This is usually 7pm to 10pm on most servers but, tailor anything I say to your specific server since it can be different.

• lright, looks my 30 minutes are up so let's see how I did. I was able to get 142 Elementium Ore, 4 Pyrite Ore, and a decent amount of Volatiles. I'll put everything on the Auction House for 12 hours undercutting any competition.
  
  Mining - Twilight Highlands:
  Pyrite Ore x 4 = 22.8g (5.7g ea.)
  Elementium Ore x 142 = 255.6g (1.8g ea.)
  Volatile Earth x 5 = 19.5g (3.9g ea.)
  Volatile Water x 5 = 44.5g (8.9g ea.)
  Volatile Fire x 15 = 237g (15.8g ea.)
  Ember Topaz x 1 = 19.7g (19.7 ea.)
  Zephryte x 1 = 5g (5g ea.) - Vendor Price
  Alicite x 1 = 16g (16g ea.)
  --------------------------------------
  Total = 506.5g in 30 minutes
  or 1,013g in one hour.

• It took about two hours to sell everything and my total for the 30 minute session was 506.5g or 1,013g per hour. This is definitely on the low side and you should expect better results if farming during offpeak, being level 85, and having decent luck.
• Also, keep in mind these are prices for my server so to see how yours would of done, check the Auction House and plug in the prices. I did have about 7 people mining so expect better numbers if you're alone in the zone or just have a few other people Mining with you. You can also try and get a little more out of it by smelting bars if they're more gold. Especially check Hardened Elementium Bars and Pyrium Bars, since they seem to make a profit by just buying the mats and smelting them as of Patch 4.1. • The best classes to use for farming are Paladin and Druid. Deathknights can be good too if spec'd with the 20% mount speed buff as well along with other classes for different reasons like vanish from a Rogue or Feign Death from a Hunter. Herbalism or Engineering are the best professions to go with Mining. It's also ideal to have 310% flying. If you have any questions, ask away in the comments.
