Below is an overview video and detailed walk-through on how to easily make gold with mining. I'll be comparing Sholazar Basin and Wintergrasp with two 30 minute sessions for a total of one hour in each zone. Mining can be very competitive so don't be surprised if you see a lot of other players Mining at the same time. It's best to farm during off peak times when noone is usually on. Even with some mass competition, players should find Mining a great gold maker. With the introduction of new recipes for all professions, Mining is still holding strong in profit as of patch 3.3.3!

  Requirements: Mining skill level 450 or 445 if your gloves are enchanted with [Advanced Mining]
  Suggestions: PvP gear, epic flyer, potions, and food/water.

WoW Mining Gold Guide P2: Sholazar Basin - [Saronite Ore] and [Titanium Ore] Farming Route.

• Sholazar Basin is the haven for all gathering professions with easy to navigate terrain and low mob encounters. You will have to be prepared for some PvP unless on a PvE server. I suggest wearing your PvP gear and bringing some potions along.
• You may also notice mining nodes disappearing without anyone around. This is because hackers are exploiting the terrain and mining underneath the zone while appearing to be invisible. To report them, open your combat log and it will display their name when they mine invisibly in front of you. Most of the time they are doing this on lower level characters so you can also check by typing "/who Sholazar Basin" and looking for a level 70 or any level that doesn't seem to fit the zone. While reporting is always a good idea, you should never bash that player if you see them in your raid a few weeks later. Most of the accounts that are hacking are hacked themselves and stolen. So please don't be mindless and take it out on the real account holder who was hacked.
• I mined Sholazar Basin following the route pictured below for two sessions of 30 minutes each for a total of one hour. The route was stress free but I ran into a lot of farmers, hackers, and just bad luck with node spawns but was able to get about 307g worth of stuff in two 30minute sessions.

WoW Mining Gold Guide P2: Wintergrasp - [Saronite Ore] and [Titanium Ore] farming route.

• It doesn't matter whether your faction holds the zone or not, but its best if a battle isn't going on so you can easily fly from node to node. Plus you don't want to be in a battle-zone and useless to your faction-mates. Wintergrasp doesn't have nearly as many nodes spawn as Sholazar Basin but you'll typically see more titanium ore overall. The even elevation and simple route also makes it a great place to farm. The big downsides to this zone were the competition was heavier than Sholazar Basin and there were a huge amount of hackers. I noticed about 5 and even managed to catch one while filming. Either way the zone proved to be awesome and netted me about ...g of mats in two 30minute sessions.

• I also, suggest that everyone have an Blizzard Authenticator for your account to prevent it from being stolen. If you have an iPod Touch or iPhone, you can get the app for free. If not, you can purchase it from Blizzard's store located here.
• I mined Wintergrasp following the route pictured below for two sessions of 30 minutes each for a total of one hour. The route was stress free and was extremely smooth. Spawn times were ok but nodes were limited. I ended up with 713g worth of materials in two 30 minute sessions.

WoW Mining Gold Guide P2: Auctioning the Farmed Materials.

• Before I list ore, I always check to see if the bars might be more expensive. If they are I will smelt the ore into bars and list that instead. Most recently, with the excessive hackers and players farming [Saronite Ore], the price has dropped pretty low. As a rule, if the bar price on the AH is less than 27g a stack, I vendor them. The vendor price is 25g.

• Some luck is involved with mining and it may take you a few tries to get use to a new route. Don't be afraid to switch things up and find what zone and path works best for you. Like i've said in other videos, farming doesn't have to suck. while you're waiting on WG to begin, heading to ToC, or waiting for friends to log in, hit up a few nodes. Doing dailys? Then why not grab some ore while you do them. I'm really big on multi-tasking and Mining can be combined with a lot of others things you do already in WoW.
