Below is an overview video and detailed walkthrough on how to use Inscription to make a good amount of gold every week by making Darkmoon Cards of the North. As shown in the video, this made me around 4,171g+ a week for 2 hours of effort. Unfortunately it isn't likely you will make as much in the latest 3.3.3 patch so be careful and test the waters before sinking a lot of gold into this. WoW Inscription Gold Guide Part 1: Starting Out - Materials

• Begin by getting your Inscription to atleast skill level 400.
  For a guide on easily leveling Inscription click here
• Next, you'll want to buy some herbs.
  The Auction House typically has decent prices but you can always find it cheaper by scimming trade chat for farmers. You can also check the Auction House, find who sells herbs a lot, and send them a message.
• I suggest purchasing stacks of any of the following herbs. I have found these to net the best results and have listed them from cheapest to most expensive according to my server; your server may differ.

  [Deadnettle]
  [Tiger Lily]
  [Goldclover]
  [Icethorn]
  [Lichbloom]

• Once I find a decent farmer I begin by negoitating a price with.
  When you're buying in bulk it is much easier to get them to sell any materials at a discount. If they don't seem willing to reduce the price you can always remind them of the uncertainty of the Auction House and how it will cost them 5% more to sell the materials. I even have some farmers directly CoD me mats everyday at a set discounted price. If I don't like the price, I simply message them and return the mail.

WoW Inscription Gold Guide Part 1: Milling

• Now that you have your mats you can begin Milling everything.
  To make things easier I have listed a macro below for Milling. Before using this macro go into your interface, select controls, and check autoloot. This will autoloot the items into your bag.

• Once you have milled everything, you can begin making Ink of the Sea and Snowfall Ink.
  This can be quite time consuming so I suggest letting it do its thing while you play a video game, talk to friends, watch TV, or anything else to occupy your time as there is no use sitting in the game doing nothing.

WoW Inscription Gold Guide Part 1: Crafting Cards

• The next set is to make all the Darkmoon Cards of the North you can.
  Each Darkmoon Card of the North requires the following materials.

  6 x [Snowfall Ink]
  3 x [Ink of the Sea]
  3 x [Eternal Life]
  1 x [Resilient Parchment]

  
  It's most likely that you won't have enough Snowfall Ink so I suggest checking the Auction House to buy some, asking in the trade channel, or heading to Dalaran and see the Inscription Vendor who can trade out Ink of the Sea for Snowfall Ink. Sometimes it is best to just sell your extra Ink of the Sea and purchase Snowfall Ink but this will depend on your server and its current prices.
• Next, you may want to make whatever decks you can.
  As shown in my video, I made two Nobles Decks as I found the decks to be easier and more profitable to sell but your server may be different. Another thing I found out was, trading some cards to make a deck was more worth it than simply selling the single cards.

• Once you have everything made, you can list all of your items.
  For decks and cards, I suggest listing them with a 1g undercut for 24 hours and any day or time seems to be fine. It will depend on your server, but I also suggest increasing the amount of cards and decks you make when the Darkmoon Faire is approaching. A lot of other sellers think this way too however, so the price may be lower if it is exceeding demand. I typically try to sell the most about a week before the Darkmoon Faire. To find out when the next Darkmoon Faire is coming, simply check your in-game calendar.

• Once you get the hang of how much you sell begin purchasing mats during the weekend; they are typically the cheapest on the weekend.
  The main reason for this, is most players aren't actually raiding on the weekends and have a lot more time to gather mats. With the abundance of mats comes the simple economic rule of supply exceeding demand which leads to lower prices. This doesn't mean 100% of the time they will be cheaper on the weekend but instead it makes it more likely. After you get a feel for mat prices you can purchase them throughout the week for the lowest prices.
• Checking on mats everyday will get you familar with who sells what.
  Pay attention and take a look at who is selling mats all the time and message them to sell directly to you at a discount. This will save you big on the craft costs. I have countless farmers listed on my friend's list who I deal with regularly to get the cheapest price possible.

• Finally, World of Warcraft isn't just about making gold and really should be the smallest part of your playtime.
