• First, head to Dalaran and go to the Tanks Everything Shop located in the Magus Commerce Exchange.

  You'll want to purchase all of the Blacksmithing epic armor, shield, and weapon plans. Blacksmithing is one of the easiest professions to gain all of the starter epic recipes. This is a starter guide so I will not be including any new Ulduar Blacksmithing plans.

• Once you have got all of your Blacksmithing epic plans, you can finally begin crafting the items.

  I suggest crafting what you can, and work your way up to crafting one of each of the epic armor, shield, and weapon pieces. I typically don't smith any of the Brilliant pieces as they sell very poorly, but you may find that they sell well on your server; it doesn't hurt to try them out once you get going.

• Now that you have made all of your epic Blacksmithing pieces, the next step is to list them on the Auction House; selling in trade as well is also a good idea.

  For epics, I recommend listing them for only 24 hours. You really shouldn't have much competition as I'm on a high population server and barely do. Still, remember to undercut all competition by one gold; anything more is overkill. Also, never let up on the competition either. If you can, monitor your listings and re-list any that are undercut by your competition. I have never had much competition and can't say that any of them have stuck around more than a few weeks.

• For epics, there doesn't seem to be any peak time.

  However, most players log on from 6pm-8pm and they may undercut your items. If possible keep an eye out and again, re-list any item someone has undercut.

• Tuesday seems to be the peak day for epic sales.

  This is most likely due to the fact people typically gear up on Tuesday for the week's PvE and PvP content.

• Once you get the hang of how much you sell, begin purchasing mats during the weekend; they are typically the cheapest on the weekend.

  The main reason for this is most players aren't actually raiding on the weekends, and have a lot more time to gather mats. With the abundance of mats comes the simple economic rule of supply exceeding demand, which leads to lower prices. This doesn't mean 100% of the time they will be cheaper on the weekend, but instead it makes it more likely. After you get a feel for mat prices you can purchase them throughout the week for the lowest prices.

• Checking on mats every day will get you familar with who sells what.

  Pay attention and take a look at who is selling mats all the time, and message them to sell directly to you at a discount. This will save you big on the craft costs. I have countless farmers listed on my friend's list who I deal with regularly to get the cheapest price possible.

• Finally, World of Warcraft isn't just about making gold and really should be the smallest part of your playtime.
