WoW Lowbie Gold Making Gold: Getting Started

• Making gold as a lowbie is actually quite easy and should be no problem for a new character who has no money support.
• First, you'll need to reach level 6 or so and head to the nearest major city. Find the Skinning and Mining trainer and learn them both. If you don't know where they are, ask a guard. I'll also list some on my website. Also, make sure to purchase a Skinning Knife and Mining Pick.

WoW Lowbie Gold Making Gold: Making Gold While Leveling

• After that head to Durotar for Horde or Dun Morogh for Alliance. I'll be spending 30 minutes farming leather, ore, and boar meat while I level up my alt. Simply kill all the boar, skin them, and mine nodes in the area following the route I've laid out. Also make sure your map is fully zoomed out and tracking minerals.





• Don't worry too much about your gear. Mines a joke but if you have the BoA's you should make a lot more gold faster. Personally, I like the disadvantage so this guide can apply to everyone and be more accurate and reasonable. As you're killing the mobs be sure to skin them and watch your map for mining nodes. They'll show up as a yellow dot. Mine everything you can but don't worry too much if a node is too far away or in a dangerous place. Just skip it and continue killing and skinning boars. You're not only killing boar for the leather you skin but also because they drop Chunk Gettiof Boar meat which sells for a nice amount on most servers.

WoW Lowbie Gold Making Gold: Auction House Listing/Selling

• Alright, so it's been about 30 minutes and time to head back to town and list the items. When it comes to Mining materials you always want to check and see which sells for more by looking at the Auction House and searching for Copper Ore and Copper Bars. It looks like bars sell for almost twice as much so I'll head over to the anvil and smelt them. This works out great since we can get Mining skill ups from smelting the Copper Ore.
• Ok, so I got all the Copper Ore smelted into bars so it's time to list everything on the Auction House. I'll list all the items for 12 hours and undercut any competition. The first time you do this you may find you don't have enough money to list all the items and if that's the case, just ask some players nearby for a few silver, sell the leather scraps, or wait for some items to sell and list the remaining items.

• Alright, it's the next day and although a few items didn't sell yet it's time to collect the gold from my mailbox. The total for 30 minutes of farming was about 74g. Not bad for a low level eight.

  Light Leather = 2.5g
  Chunk of Boar Meat = 34g
  Misc = 6.5g

• This is really something you can do as you level all the way to 80. Just take the basic concept of Skinning the mobs you can and Mining nearby nodes. Herbalism combined with Skinning or Mining can work well to make a great amount of gold while you level.
