Icecrown Citadel 10m: Heroic Blood Prince Council - Overview

The Heroic mode for the Blood Prince Council can be a semi-difficult hurdle for some raids to overall but with some patience and area awareness can be easily doable. In this guide I will only cover what is important to Heroic mode and anything else you should honestly know. Depending on the class, gear, and players' abilities you'll want 2 healers, 2 tanks, and the rest dps. For your Keleseth tank, it's a good idea to use a typical melee tank instead of a range due to the increased damage output from Keleseth. As for the positioning, have the range, including all healers, stand spread out around the bosses.

• The biggest differences between normal and heroic are the Blood Princes have increased health, hit harder, the raid needs to minimize movement, Kinetic bombs spawn lower and drop faster, and all abilities do a lot more damage.
• Unlike normal mode, players will have to minimize their movement due to a Shadow Prison debuff that stacks as you move. Because of this, all range should be assigned to Kinetic bombs. Pets can be very helpful so make sure to use them as well. The only players that should ever move are the Empowered Conjured Flame target, melee minimally during Empowered Shock Vortex casts, Shock Vortex spawn targets, and the tank on Keleseth. If you have a priest, have them Mass Dispel the Glittering Sparks off of melee before Empowered Shock Vortexes.
• The other important part of Heroic mode is Malleable Goo. Throughtout the fight Professor Putricide will chuck Malleable Goo on a random raid member. Range and Healers especially need to avoid this completely to make sure they can properly DPS to beat the enrage timer and keep the raid and tanks up. The target will have a circle of green ooze at their feet indicating they're the target. They then want to move around 10 yards or so away from it. Sometimes Malleable Goo will be thrown on the spore stacking target or melee. If this happens, call out on vent to move 10 yards either left or right as a whole group. We had a melee calling out on vent left foot, right foot and it worked out great for melee's group.
• In heroic mode, Conjured Empowered Ball of Flames can be devastating so make sure to be ready and run like hell from them but not out of healers' range. It also helps to get a priest shield to reduce the damage taken.
• Once your raid gets control over the Kinetic bombs, minimalizes their movements, and avoids Conjured Empowered Ball of Flames, you should have no problem overcoming this encounter.
