Adventures to 1 million: Gold Capped in Cata (June) - How to Make Gold & Get Rich in WoW! - Overview

Hey everyone. This is my seventh vid for "Adventures to 1 Million: Gold Capped in Cata" and for June through mid July it looks like I'll be looting over 5,000 mails of sold Auction House items in a few sessions since the mailbox can only hold mail for 30 days. Given the amount of time that is a pretty average number of items for me. Before looting anything I had a measely 1,576 gold which means I spent an insane 743,144 gold.

• What could I possibly of spent so much gold on right. Well, just about anything needed at a high level. I bought all kinds of items for resale like Volatiles, epics, & even some pets. After that I bought a lot of things for Jewelcrafting and Alchemy like ore and herbs. And why did I go all out this month? Well, patch 4.2 was coming out and I needed to be well prepared if I was going to cash in on the great oppurtunity that every patch brings. PvP season change and a new raid content patch are the best times to be stocking up and crafting items like gems and flasks for resale. Gems especially come into huge demand with the new influx of gear going out to all players including their alts. Almost all new items need to be gemmed and enchanted. I didn't bother with any professions but Jewelcrafting and Alchemy since I was busy IRL but all professions can benefit from a new patch.
• I was also focused on getting rid of as many items in inventory as possible. This included some trinkets, Volatiles, gems, and Hardened Elementium Bars. Typical stuff I always have on hand. That's because, I try sticking to only a few different types of items to keep things simple and the time spent listing and crafting to a minimal. I know these items in and out so price changes are very predictable. It's possible I could make more gold by expanding into tons of other items and professions but, that would take a lot of time each day which I don't have and honestly don't want to spend. I have fun making gold but when it becomes a job that I must do for hours on end everyday instead of playing the game how it should be played, I limit my goldmaking to make room for the fun which is more important than the extra pixels of gold. It's also why I didn't stop giving away gold either. Even though I know it crippled me a bit from hitting the 1 million gold cap. I don't care. I like giving away stuff and helping people out.
• Jewelcrafting was once again awesome bringing in a huge chunk of my sales for June into July. Alchemy was helpful with transmutes and making Jewelcrafting even more successful. PvP gems were pretty hot sellers since everyone was getting new gear and gearing up alts with honor gear. PvE gems also did well since Firelands raid and dailys both introduced a slew of new gear.
• I took some risks with high priced epics but it paid off big time netting almost double the gold back on every item since anyone who had a BoE epic was freaking out that they'd be worth nothing. Fear always fuels someone else's profit. That works in real life as well. Can anyone say.. Real Estate market.

• Anyways, so I'm sure a lot of you are wondering if I finally hit the 1 million gold cap in Cataclysm. Well, look for yourself. Bam and there it is. 1 million gold and it won't let me loot anymore. Pretty crazy and let's break it all down. June to mid July brought in over 1 million gold plus 157,000 in purchased items for stocking up, resale, or crafting that are leftover. I also gave away 70,000 gold and spent over 15,000 gold on items for my main and alts. That means the total would have been over 1,242,000 gold for the months of June to mid July.
• That's pretty sick and means this will be the last video of my Adventures to 1 Million: Gold Capped in Cata Series.
