I focus on both of these as well as buying and selling items on the Auction House. Adventures to 1 million: Gold Capped in Cata (Feb.) - How to Make Gold & Get Rich in WoW! - Overview

Ok, so basically I'll be emptying my mail this entire video. It's 3,047 mails of sold items from the Auction House which is half of last months.

• As always, everything in this video comes from using the techniques in my other videos especially for Jewelcrafting and Alchemy. • Ok, my budget for this month was about 745,000 gold but only used 683,000 gold and put the rest in my guild bank to hold while I loot my mail for this video. In February, like every month, I watched trade chat periodically to find any good deals for stuff to resell. I got lucky with a lot of herbs, Volatiles, ore, bars, and inks. Remember if you're constantly looking for items to sell or mats to make items, make a simple 'Want To Buy' or WTB macro asking players to CoD to you or direct trade. You'd be surprised at how cheap people are willing to dump items in bulk for. It's great when you find a regular player who farms everyday that can get you a supply consistently everyday or so. Here are some examples:

  /2 WTB Elementium Ore in Bulk (25g/stack) PST or CoD anytime/any amount!
  /2 WTB Volatile Life in Bulk (3g each) PST or CoD anytime/any amount!

• Once I get my items, I decide whether to resell them for more or make items with them. A quick note on reselling, I do not ever try to rediculously price anything while controlling the market. I simply list the item for it's normal high-side price and let the market do whatever it's going to do. I almost never resell ore but I am stockpiling Pyrite as you'll see later in the video. Elementium Ore I always prospect or use to make Hardened Elementium Bars. Volatiles, herbs, inks, and Hardened Elementium Bars are used for whatever I'm making and the rest are sold.
• Jewelcrafting really did well in February even with the prices dropping like a rock. The Elementium and Obsidium Ore prices dropped as well making it just as profitable as before. JC was also good for making Cata level rings and necks to disenchant while selling any rare quality procs. It seemed that people had started leveling alts and so prices were stable and demand was pretty high. Any mats I didn't use to make rings and necks or sell on the JC daily day, went to Alchemy for transmuting.
• Alchemy was once again awesome when paired with Jewelcrafting. I stuck to transmuting inferno and ember topaz gems as well as and Shadowspirit Metas. Everyday I did a Truegold transmute as well although sometimes I switch to transmuting Volatile Life to Volatile Air in Uldum depending on whichever was more profitable base wise. February also was great for flasks and potions so I switched to those specs off and on to cash in on the trend and popularity of raid progression and requirements of raids. Transmute was still the best for making gold followed by flasks and then potions. Percent wise, potions were on top but they just didn't have the volume compared to trans and flask spec.
• Other than my professions I bought and sold tons of other mats like Volatiles, inks, herbs, bars, and Darkmoon Faire cards as well as trinkets. Anytime I was near the AH or in Org, I checked for cheap prices. Darkmoon Faire cards I sold during the event and decks I turned in for resell after the event was over. Selling trinkets after the Darkmoon Faire almost always nets the most gold since supply dwindles.
• Alright, how about addons. Well, I use a mix of different Auction House addons but my main ones are Auction Profit Master, Auctioneer, Auctionator, and Postal. Check my website for guides on all of them.
• And I bet your wondering, how long does it take to keep this up everyday? About 2 hours average which consists of listing, relisting, and organizing items. I work in bulk a lot though and pick like a day out of the week to just make a mass amount of items for the week that may take 4-5 hours while I watch TV or answer YouTube and website mail. Usually I do it on Sunday since I seem to get the best prices for items on that day. The thing is though you have to be careful not to pay too much or you'll be screwed by the end of the week. For most people I suggest just taking it a day or two at a time since prices can move drastically throughout the week depending on demand and what's going on in the World... of Warcraft. Like for instance Whiptail's price crashed because a bug caused almost instant respawn times. Things like that are unpredictable so the only way to protect yourself is to go day by day. You can also take advantage of something like that and stock up while it's dirt cheap. Being flexible and adapting to the ever-changing WoW economy will keep you ahead of the game and banking everyday.
• Items in WoW are very time sensitive and can drastically change within the week, day, or even hours during peak times. Lots of factors have to be considered and you should always have a fall back plan. I typically use crafting or selling mats as my fall back plan. Sometimes I buy tons and tons of mats or items and watch the price get destroyed the next day. A few weeks ago this happened with Hypnotic Dust. The price just crumbled so rather than selling the dust, I turned it into high profit enchants and bags which netted pre price crumble pricing. Always check your professions to see how you can avoid the crash of any item. Patience is also key. A lot of times I give some heads up in my Weekly WoW Report that almost all Auction House players can benefit from. Of course every server is different so nothing is fool proof. That's why it's up to you, the player, to check things against your Auction House and see what'll work for your situation and server economy. I can only give you info on what works in most cases. So take the info and numbers from my gold making guides and use that info to see how you'd do on your server. Then, decide if it's worth it or not and test things out in small amounts.

• All in all it was a decent month for the Auction House and I made some true bank. February brought in 604,394g plus about 182,000g in unsold items, 51,000 gold that I gave away and, 21,000 in gear for my main and alts. Add that all up and you get a total for February of 858,394 gold. Not too bad but wait wasn't January 906,000? It sure was but the difference is in February I bought a ton of Pyrite Ore and Elementium Ore along with tons of Volatiles amounting to around an insane 278,000 gold that I have yet to prospect or post on the AH. My gbank and bank are packed so I had to send it all to my alt to hold in 32 slot Mining bags just to fit it all. Taking that into consideration means I brought in 1,136,394 gold in the month of February. Let's see what Beancounter says though to make sure my numbers aren't way off. Beancounter shows 2,459,756 gold and last month showed 1,320,983 so it did jump a bit over 1.1 million so that makes sense. The month was pretty big and averaged 37,879 gold per day. At the end of February I had a net worth of around 1,190,000 gold. Still not liquid in cash though so, see you next month. Oh and remember any one of you can do this too. I give you all the tools, you just have to use them.
• So what do I do with all this gold? Well, I mostly use it for buying my alts' and friends' gear, mounts, and other supplies, making videos for all of you, which just makes more gold anyway, and my favorite, giving away gold to random players for doing random things. Unfortunately asking won't get you any gold. I do it randomly for fun purposes. Plus if you're following my guides, you shouldn't need gold anyway, am I right.
