4man Flame Leviathan Guide

WARNING: Although this is not an exploit, players have been banned for doing this! GMs have decided that this somehow abuses the mechanics. Use this guide at your own risk as it is only entertainment and not meant to be followed!
Below is an overview video and detailed walk-through on how to 4man Flame Leviathan in 10man (Hard mode - with two towers) and 25 man Ulduar (Normal mode - no towers). I hope you enjoy the guide and if you have any questions, suggestions, or feedback, please visit our forums.
- 10man and 25man are almost identical strats. The only thing different you'll be doing, is hard-mode in 10man. This requires activating hard-mode and leaving two towers up.
- First, for 10man, speak to the NPC and activate hard-mode. For 25man do not activate hard-mode (unless you really want to of course).
- Next, hop in a Seige tank and Demolisher.
You'll want drivers to have the best iLvl of gear. The main reason for this, is your gear will determine the HP of the vehicle. If you aren't sure who has better gear, hop in a vehicle, note the HP, and switch to see who gives the vehicle the most HP. (Tip: Once you are in the vehicle, you can take off your items and save the durability repair bill if you die.)
- 10man hard-mode: You'll want to clear the center area destroying all the pylons, Tower of Flame, and Tower of Life, but leave the Tower of Frost and Tower of Storms up. (Note: With no towers up, it is actually possible to 2man this.)
- 10man hard-mode: Leave the Tower of Storms and Tower of Frost up.
Tower of Frost - Found across the bridge on the right just before the repair pad before Flame Leviathan's staging ground.
Tower of Storms - Found down the narrow hall on the left, just before the repair pad before Flame Leviathan's staging ground. - 25man: You'll want to clear the center area, destroying all the pylons. (Note: No need to destroy towers unless hard mode is activated.)
Try not to aggro anything you don't have to. The center area is the only place that needs to be fully cleared. You'll also want to watch out for heli-pats and take them out if aggro'd. Utilize the repair stations and repair if needed. Repair is on a 1 minute cooldown so if you happen to destroy the vehicle, simply head back to the front of the entrance and grab another.
- Once you get to Flame Leviathan's door, clear everything and suicide when he comes out.
Remember to take your gear off before to save the durability repair bill.
- Now that Flame Leviathan is out, you'll want to hop in four demolishers.
Park them on the edge where the gate/field normally pops up. Hop into the shooter's seat and use Anti-Air Rockets '2' to take out the Pyrite above. Take out as many as you can. You'll want to have a good amount on all the edges and center of where you fight Flame Leviathan. Be careful to not hit '1' (Mortar) as your likely to aggro the boss. They despawn so you'll want to do this quickly. (Note: In the video we only use two but I suggest all of your group get in one.)
- Once you have a good stockpile of Pyrite laying around, head into the same corner as each other and hop in with your partner.
Before pulling the boss, decide which corner you are going to head to if you are the one targeted.
- Next, count down and pull the boss using key '2' (Hurl Pyrite Barrel).
These stack up to 10 times for 10 seconds and do a significant amount of stacked damage. Try to keep all of your stacks up at all times but don't risk getting hit over it.
- After that, let him get semi-close to whoever is targeted and then diverge to your assigned corner.
You are basically going to be diagonally ping ponging the boss back and forth. You shouldn't get hit but watch your DBM messages and timers and kite a bit if need be. Always save enough Pyrite for the demo's increased speed ability. To be safe, you'll want to use this everytime Flame Leviathan turns to you.
10man hard-mode: Avoid the storms and frost beams as much as possible. Never get caught underneath one for more than a second. If you get hit by the Tower of Frost's Hodir's Fury, you will be stunned for 1 minute and that pretty much means game over.
- Next, your Anti-Air Rocket shooter needs to be shooting Pyrite down for the other demo team and vice versa.
Pyrite is more important then anything in this fight to keep the stacks up and your increased speed ability when needed. Constantly shoot down Pyrite the entire fight. As the driver, head towards Pyrite so your shooter can easily pick it up.
- Lastly, keep this up for 3-5minutes and Flame Leviathan will be down in no time.
Yes, it's that easy!
Good luck and I hope you enjoyed this guide. If you have any suggestions, comments, or feedback, please visit our forums.
